Art Exhibition Coordinator Bruny Island Bird Festival 23 – 26 October 2014
An art exhibition coordinator is required for the 2014 Bruny Island Bird Festival.Duties involved would include:Liaising with Bird Festival Project Officer before and during Bird Festival. Contacting and liaising with artist exhibitors from the two previous BirdFestivals to inform them of delivery dates for artworks of Bruny Island bird species, and sending out artist agreement forms with request for $10 exhibition fee (children’s art excepted). These forms will also be available on the web site. Placing posters on Bruny, in Kingston and Hobart advertising for new artists, and liaising with Project Officer to advertise in the Bruny News. Coordinating delivery and collection of artworks. Organising erection of screens and plinths, and coordinating a team to hang exhibition as well as take exhibition down.Printing wall labels with names of artists, artwork titles and prices. Coordinating the artist desk and money from sale of artworks in theAdventure Bay Hall during the Festival with help from a rota of artistvolunteers. Coordinating with Festival Treasurer. Giving sale monies to artists at the end of the Festival when they collect their artwork, and giving exhibition fee money to Festival Treasurer.
